VegExpo was a great platform to connect with people and showcase the sensory experience of our plant-based algal Omega-3s in food and beverages. Attendees sampled some chef made vegan tuna tar tar (Ahi Sashimi recipe below) on a black bean tortilla chip with ginger soy mayo, no peanut butter coconut milk (made with O3 Omega Smoothie) & vanilla cookie dough gluten free (photos below). These delicacies were made with our Alphamega3 oil delivering 400mg/g vegan algal Omega-3 DHA, and Betamega3 powder, delivering 120mg/g vegan algal Omega-3 DHA. They also tried an exciting new vegan flavour of O3 Omega Smoothies at VegExpo – Not Peanut Butter & Jelly! This was in addition to the very successful line of smoothies – Breakfast Flavor & S’mores Flavor (vegetarian), which launched in June 2018 at 70 Co-op stores across Western Canada.
